CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Walker Workshop Los Angeles is currently seeking a Construction Superintendent to join our team.

Walker Workshop is an award winning, Los Angeles based architecture firm founded in 2010, with the purpose of creating modern structures that are warmly minimal with careful consideration of light, space, and the unique qualities of each project's location. Our approach is also deeply rooted in craft and construction, with a rich awareness of the practical responsibility of making buildings. As a licensed General Contractor, we also frequently build the homes that we design. This ethos of creative ownership for all phases of the work, from initial concept followed through to project completion, permeates our culture.

Construction Superintendent

Walker Workshop is high-end custom home design-build architecture firm, creating some of Los Angeles' most notable homes. We are small close-knit firm, seeking a hard-working, dedicated construction superintendent for our high-end residential project in the Santa Monica area.

Qualified Applicants must have:
5+ years of construction superintendent experience with familiarity with Santa Monica or Los Angeles building codes
Ability to read and interpret all building documents
Proficiency with microsoft word, excel and construction management software

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all on site operations of the construction project from planning to completion
Schedule all subcontractors and supervise that the work is being completed in a satisfactory manner
Ensure that the critical path of the project schedule is being met
Ensure that all work is done in accordance with the building documents and specifications
Maintain a daily log of all activities, job site visitors, deliveries, schedule, etc.
Coordinate all required inspections per local building codes
Coordinate with entire project team and lead weekly site meetings with architect, engineer, ownership, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year (DOE)
